What is Artificial
Insemination?
Artificial insemination (AI) is a reproductive method where semen from a select bull is placed into a cows reproductive tract by a trained technician. This approach allows farmers access to a wider range of genetics globally.
AI has been used in cattle breeding for over 80 years and remains one of the single most impactful tools available for improving herd quality, tightening calving spreads and reducing disease risk. At Herdlinx, we bring this technology directly to your yard with technicians and carefully managed semen supplies.

Our
Process
Heat Detection
We identify cows cycling using visual signs or a synchronisation program to batch your herd efficiently.
Semen Preparation
Fresh and frozen semen straws are handled precisely at body temperature before insemination.
Insemination
Our experienced technicians use the recto-vaginal technique to deposit semen accurately and stress-free for the animal.
Pregnancy Check
Five weeks (35 days) post joining we confirm results using an ultrasound and also detect non-pregnant females.
